Video call consultations usually leave a pending task: recording what was discussed with the patient. With the feature of Video calls, Itaca can join a compatible meeting and prepare a draft of the clinical note for the professional to review.
The goal is to reduce manual transcription without interrupting the consultation. The physician retains control of the content and approves the final version.
Benefits for your practice
- Clinical note drafts ready for review.
- Transcripts that the professional can review and correct.
- Less paperwork after the video call.
- Compatible with Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.

How it works
- Create a video call visit from the visitor page or from the patient's chart.
- Paste the Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams link.
- Select the patient and, if applicable, attach clinical documents.
- Send the assistant to the meeting.
- Upon completion, review the transcript and the draft of the note before approving them.
The assistant participates in the meeting to process the audio. Based on the conversation, it can prepare a transcript, a draft SOAP note, and, when applicable, patient instructions. Accuracy depends on factors such as audio quality, speakers, and context; therefore, professional review is essential.
Privacy and security
Itaca encrypts data in transit and at rest, does not use patient data to train models, and employs relevant vendors under BAA agreements. Data processing and retention depend on the configured workflow. Please refer to the current information from security and privacy and apply the consent requirements of your jurisdiction and institution.
Document without interrupting the consultation
Itaca helps reduce the administrative burden surrounding teleconsultations so that professionals can focus on the clinical conversation and review documentation at the end.
